Robots are just advanced technology.

At its most general:

technology is anything a person makes to perform a task. 

​

So, 3 things are true:

1. Technology already only exists to do work.

2. Technology is everywhere, from sharp sticks to clothes to houses to books to planes, computers, rockets, and... robots. 

3. We are already all pros at using technology to do work.

 

 

Technology cannot do all work yet. But we already have the technology to automate 50% of work, and we're well on our way to building the rest. It's simply a matter of time.

Whenever we get to that point, people can still do any work manually. It'll just be an unnecessary hobby.
